Ashleigh Bell Pedersen
Founder & Writing Coach

Ashleigh is the author of the novel The Crocodile Bride (a New York Times Editors’ Choice) and a long-time educator who loves connecting with people of all ages—especially as a writing coach.

Ashleigh’s classroom experience runs the gamut, from universities (University of Pittsburgh and Quinnipiac University) to middle and high school (Headwaters School in Austin, Texas—where she was also chair of the English department). In 2014, she formally founded Write Well Austin, where she and offered writing tutoring and adult writing workshops and retreats for nearly a decade before her big move to NYC!

At Write Well Brooklyn, she’s fine-tuned her offerings and best practices. She regularly collaborates with the Parents League of New York to offer essays (see her piece on admissions and application writing here), talks, and workshops; and at WWB, she now offers an array of 1-1 writing coaching programs. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her sweet and mischievous dog, Ernie. She is represented by Elizabeth Bewley at Sterling Lord Literistic.
